Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The Roscoe Lee Browne Scholarship Fund was established as a legacy to actor, poet, educator and athlete Roscoe lee Browne an in particular to honor his love for the written and spoken word. The Fund initiated and underwrites the Roscoe Lee Browne Poet-in-Residence Award at the Millay Colony for the Arts. It also facilitates and supports a collaborative project with Lincoln University which will eventually house Roscoe Lee Browne's literary works in the University's Langston Hughes Memorial Library.
