Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The organizations primary exempt purpose is residential rehabilitation recovery for women coming out of prison or treatment facilities (or off the street in some cases), for drug and alcohol related addictions. It is a twelve month (one year) faith-based program for displaced women and their children to enable them to become productive members of society.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
At the end of 2013, Jubilee House was open with eight residents in all four phases of the extensive curriculum. This program includes but is not limited to individual counseling, self-cognitive change studies, computer skills, nutritional education, GED education if required, household budgeting, work ethics, job training, spiritual guidance, parenting skills, etc. We believe in training these women in the complete process to be able to sustain a healthy and whole existence and to give them a solid foundation to be free of these addictions once and for all. Part of the program is also weekly community service. We provide transportation for all court appearances, probation or parole requirements, medical appointments, drug testing, or whatever is required for each resident. We have strict 24 hour supervision and behavioral consequences for choices that residents might make in their daily recovery journey. Our statistics show that our recidivism is less than 30%. We are known in our area in the local court systems and attorneys and judges are now recommending our program instead of rider sentences. At the time of this writing, twenty (29) women have graduated from the program with another three to graduate by November 2014. They have been able to find jobs, reconcile with families, and have become healthier physically and mentally. They have been able to fulfill their court related requirements if applicable, and begin paying restitution as ordered. Three graduates have become leaders in a 12 step substance abuse program sponsored by a local church. Another is free from a prescription pain medication addition for the first time in over 25 years. Several are continuing their education at a local Junior College. Most have reconciled with children and families and have healed or begun the healing process in those relationships. We have graduates that have continued their community service and have filed individual tax returns since they are working for the first time in many years. They have become productive members of society, saving thousands of tax dollars in their communities as they are no longer dependent on government programs. These are just a few examples. The accomplishments of each resident are too many to list in this statement.$104,351-
