“Leadership development - tucson ncl chapter nurtures confidence through opportunities to learn and grow while also building problem-solving skills through a supportive environment of healthy relationships. Girls are organized by grade level and each girl will hold a leadership position within their class at least once during their 6 year tenure. As part of the position, prescribed leadership activities are required. These positions largely mirror the roles on the board, run the regular meetings and are supported by mothers (grade level advisors or gla's) who perform an oversight role. “Cultural experiences - as future leaders, ncl continually strives to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives. Mothers and daughters of each class attend a cultural experience together with a focus on different areas of art, theatre, dance, and music. Each year the following activities are held: the mother-daughter annual tea and fashion show which celebrates the tradition of tea and allows the junior class to participate in the fashion show, the senior recognition program which celebrates the graduates and their accomplishments after 6 years in the program and the ticktocker award ceremony which celebrates members with a distinctive number of philanthropy hours of leadership.”
