Hanac has no unrecognized tax benefits as of june 30, 2018 and 2017. Hanac's federal and state income tax returns prior to fiscal year 2015 are closed and management continually evaluates expiring statutes of limitations, audits, proposed settlements, changes in tax law and new authoritative rulings. If applicable, hanac will recognize interest and penalties associated with tax matters as general and administrative expenses in the consolidated and combined statement of activities and include accrued interest and penalties with the related tax liability in the consolidated and combined statements of financial position. There were no interest and penalties for the years ended june 30, 2018 and 2017, respectively.
