Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is currently classified as a private foundation. Management has reviewed all tax positions recognized in previously filed tax returns and those expected to be taken in future tax returns. As of december 31, 2024, the organization had no amounts related to unrecognized income tax benefits and no amounts related to accrued interest and penalties. The organization does not anticipate any significant changes to unrecognized income tax benefits over the next year.

GRANT AWARDS WILL BE FOR UP TO 50% OF THE PROJECT COST WITH THE MAXIMUM AWARD NOT TO EXCEED THE LIMITS IDENTIFIED FOR EACH CATEGORY. PROJECTS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF NOTICE THAT A GRANT HAS BEEN AWARDED. THE ASSOCIATION CANNOT RESERVE FUNDS INDEFINITELY, BUT AWARDEES MAY REQUEST AN EXTENSION IN WRITING IF THERE ARE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES. UPON RECEIVING A COMPLETE APPLICATION, IT WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR REVIEWED BY THE BOARD, AT THE NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION. IN ADDITION, THE PROPERTY/BUSINESS OWNER MUST ATTEND A MINIMUM OF 2 ASSOCIATION EVENTS PER CALENDAR YEAR TO CONTINUE TO QUALIFY FOR FUTURE GRANT SUPPORT.
