During fy 22-23, data for harcs triennial coachella valley community health survey was collected in 2022; the harc team analyzed the data and used it to create the executive report. The 2022 coachella valley community health survey executive report was released on february 28, 2023, on zoom. A total of 174 people registered for the event, 94 attended. Video of the event was posted on youtube on march 7, 2023; to date an additional 39 individuals have viewed the video. Since the release on february 28, 2023, the electronic version of the report has been downloaded by 105 unique individuals. These people represented a wide variety of organizations, including american heart association, alzheimers association, azusa pacific university, borrego health, boys & girls club of cathedral city, boys & girls club of palm springs, boys & girls clubs of coachella valley, calfresh healthy living, california baptist university, city of palm desert, city of palm springs, coachella valley volunteers in medicine, comite civico del valle, congressman raul ruiz, dap health, desert care network, desert healthcare district and foundation, desert oasis healthcare, desert recreation district, desert sands educational foundation, eisenhower health, find food bank, first 5 riverside, friends of the desert mountains, george mason university, green room theatre company, hadassah, hidden harvest, hope through housing foundation, iehp, innercare, institute for healthcare advancement, johnson and wales university, joslyn senior center, kesq, marra market intelligence, mpg wellness initiative, olive crest, onefuture coachella valley, palm springs unified school district, raices cultura, regional access project foundation (rap), riverside county latino commission on drug and alcohol abuse services, riverside county medical association, riverside university health system behavioral health, senior advocates of the desert, the desert sun, the lgbtq community center of the desert, uc riverside, and we are one united, among others. Most people who downloaded the report used it to prioritize health needs; most reported that their prior use of the data had resulted in increased awareness/knowledge about issues in the community. Six people successfully utilized the data to secure funds and brought in approximately 767,500. Press about the data release included print (desert sun, palm springs post, gay desert guide), television (kesq, desert chat with sandie newton), and radio (joey english). Printed copies of the report were mailed to harcs funders, board members, and those who requested a printed copy; over 100 have been distributed by the end of fy 22-23. Additionally, the harc team, with support from the windward fund, analyzed the 2022 survey data to create an environmental justice special report (in english and spanish). In addition to survey data, the report includes the findings from 24 interviews with residents, with a focus on the eastern coachella valley. Client services: harc worked on 27 different paid consulting projects during fy 22-23, including: 1. Altura: a study of attitudes of federally qualified health centers (fqhcs) being involved in making clinical trials more accessible to underserved communities. 2. Be equitable (formerly known as cook ross): diversity, equity, and inclusion (dei) analysis and report writing for clients (jennison) 3. Boys & girls club of palm springs: evaluation of their cannabis education center to address cannabis reduction, prevention, and diversion for teens. 4. Building resilient communities: qualitative analyses of the january 23, 2023 community resiliency summit reconvening to create a continued roadmap to resilience report. 5. California institute for regenerative medicine: hosting a community listening session for community-based organizations to inform the development of community care centers of excellence. 6. PRINTED COPIES OF THE REPORT WERE MAILED TO HARCS FUNDERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AND THOSE WHO REQUESTED A PRINTED COPY; OVER 100 HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED BY THE END OF FY 22-23. ADDITIONALLY, THE HARC TEAM, WITH SUPPORT FROM THE WINDWARD FUND, ANALYZED THE 2022 SURVEY DATA TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE SPECIAL REPORT (IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH).
