Governance Explanations

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 6

The organization has members who are also donors. Individuals interested in supporting the mission of the organization can become members/donors. Members may participate in the organization's activities such as projects, committees and working groups.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

On or before the 15th of september of each year the president shall designate a nominating committee consisting of not less than three (3) nor more than seven (7) members. The names of the nominating committee shall be posted on the mbb website. The secretary shall serve on the nominating committee in an ex officio, non-voting capacity. Any member may propose members to serve for any vacancies on the board or officers. The nominating committee shall select one or more candidates for each vacancy, and shall report on its selections to the president and secretary by november 1st of each year. These nominations, including biographical information, shall be posted on the mbb website by november 15th of each year. An election to fill all vacancies shall be held by the board of directors, by electronic or telephonic means, and concluded by december 15th of each year.

Line 1, description of organization mission: pacific. Mbbi works in a wide range of contexts designing and facilitating transformative processes for communities, organizations and countries. We provide a range of violence prevention, analysis, intervention, training and coaching services-all designed to build trust, heal relationships,and transform conflicts. Mbbi's areas of functional expertise: mobilizing experts/advisory support technical expertise - mediation, negotiation, dialogue, restorative practices; capacity strengthening processes culturally appropriate & trauma informed process design transition, governance & security dimensions of peace processes form 990, part iii, line 4b, program service accomplishments: trust network established the first early warning early response platform in the usa. Working in collaboration with nafcm and many other stakeholders organizations, this national infrastructure now extends to ten locations across the usa spanning urban and rural communities from ca to ri. Increasing the safety of communities across the usa. The goal of this project is growing a network of collaboration across the sectors of peacebuilding, bridge building, social racial climate justice, legal and structural reform form 990, part iii, line 4c, program service accomplishments: mbb consulting mbb consulting has served as a support for internal conflict transformation mechanisms for academic institutions, and international non-governmental organizations in the humanitarian, environmental and human rights sectors. Line 4a, program service accomplishments: rotary mbbi continues to expand the world of rotary and support clubs and districts across the world by partnering to train youth, indigenous communities, and women as peace leaders in their communities/countries. Holistic approaches that engage the business and entrepreneurial community are examples of this partnership. Line 4c, program service accomplishments: judiciaries, religious leaders, law enforcement officers, community leaders, ex combatants and community dispute resolution specialists. The clients in this program remain confidential. Form 990, part iii, line 4d, other program services: trauma -informed peacebuilding (tip) mediators beyond borders international's trauma-informed peacebuilding provides comprehensive training and consultation on the impact of primary and secondary trauma. Recognizing and addressing the effects of trauma results in more effective project design, leading to self-sustaining investment in livelihoods, partnerships, and peaceful resolution of conflicts. Our approach emphasizes inclusivity, cultural competency, and sensitivity to the impact of trauma on communities. We offer programs in trauma-informed practice for funders, multinational organizations, and practitioners in healthcare, education, human rights, conservation, mediation, and humanitarian aid. Mbbi emphasizes trauma-informed practices in its conflict assessments, project planning and programming requirements, design, monitoring, and assessment, consulting and training services. Working groups women in mediation of un multilateral working group: mbbi once again sent a delegation to the commission on the status of women un conference in march 2023. The delegation submitted written statements, partnered with ydc canada and held a side event on "women and young peacebuilders on technology and peacebuilding: global perspectives." the global peace training institute the institute is designed to focus on building skills and providing a forum for learning exchange for peacebuilders around the world. This is done though a learning platform that supports synchronous and asynchronous learning and is supported by case consultations and ongoing coaching and mentoring. Rotary partnership - in 2016 mbbi became a recognized service partner of rotary international and has been instrumental in supporting clubs, districts & zones around the world. Mbbi supports ri's peace and conflict resolution goals through consultations, global grants, conferences, training and more. The mbbi-rotary working group (mbbi-rwg) seeks to build bridges to increase the peacebuilding capacity of both organizations to advance the common goals of preventing, reducing and healing violent conflicts in communities around the world.projects include: indonesia,canada, bc - dialogue and facilitation in collaboration with nisga nations, south africa, west and east africa, trinidad and tobago, and usa.

We are a civic architecture and infrastructure that braids social justice, democracy, and legal and peace-building communities. The trust network is a broad u.s. Network designed to prevent violent conflict and build community cohesion. In order to prevent violence, reduce division, strengthen our democracy, and address legacies of injustice, we are growing a network of collaboration across four sectors in the fields of peacebuilding, social/racial/ and environmental justice, legal sector, and democracy work; establishing a first-of-its-kind citizen-run early warning early action infrastructure developed specifically for the united states; connecting international and national-level expertise and advocacy to local initiatives that are convened by community mediation and justice centers on the ground, so that communities are supported in generating and self- determining solutions to their long-standing problems (in keeping with the intent of the 1964 civil rights act, section 10).
