The Organization's purpose is to work with the farmers and citizens of the State of New York and local, and state and federal officials, agencies, authorities and commissions and other agricultural and conservation organizations to achieve the public objectives of conserving and protecting New York's agricultural land for the production of food and other agricultural products;encouraging the active use and improvement of agricultural land to support the business of farming; and protecting forested land and other natural resources that are an important part of New York's agricultural land base.
