FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Iea's mission is to promote lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics. Iea wishes to introduce students in grades 4-8 (future) and 9-12 (upper school) to equestrian sports and to develop understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports through organized competitions and educational opportunities. Iea further wishes to inspire and facilitate adults to continue their journey in equestrian athletics for a lifetime.

Form 990, Page 1, Part I, Line 6

The iea has an infinite number of volunteers at our events, but we do have a core volunteer pool of 104 regional presidents that we regularly count on for organizing the activities in each geographic area of 3-15 teams. We also have several standing committees-total members at 45, on average.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4C

The iea focused on a major technology update in fy 23-24. The iea's membership and event tracking systems were becoming dated and no longer supported by its base platform. We spent much of the year working on initial planning, directives and logistics for a new system. Research, bid proposals and interviews were done, and the iea began work in december to build a new operating system. That project will be ongoing and is expected to be completed in spring 2025. Additionally, the iea continues to enhance and improve our "adult pilot program,- and adults riders were included for the first time at iea national finals in 2024. The program is still under consideration for full integration into the iea offerings.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Iea complies with fasb asc 740- accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Fasb asc 740 details how companies should recognize, measure, present and disclose uncertain tax positions that have been or are expected to be taken. As such, the financial statements would reflect expected future tax consequences of uncertain tax positions presuming the taxing authorities' full knowledge of the position and all relevant facts, if they existed. The management of iea believes that there are no uncertain tax positions. Iea's tax years that remain subject to examination by the internal revenue service are fiscal years ended june 30, 2021 and forward.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0IEA COMPLIES WITH FASB ASC 740- ACCOUNTING FOR UNCERTAINTY IN INCOME TAXES.
