Technology Events and Projects: The Vermont Technology Alliance published a Vermont Technology Recruitment Report and Plan. The vtTA produced a recruiting video to help attract a tech workforce to Vermont. The vtTA organized and hosted events for Vermont technology business leaders, government officials and others for networking and discussion of tech policy and programs in Vermont. The vtTA organized the annual Tech Jam trade show and career fair event and presented Tech Jam Awards, recognizing Vermont technology innovations and leaders. The vtTA partnered with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Quebec to promote business opportunities and collaboration between tech businesses in Vermont and Canada. The vtTA participated in job fairs to share members career opportunities.--
Outreach and Advocacy: The vtTA connected with state and government officials, economic development organizations, businesses and non-profit organizations to support policies and programs that help Vermonts technology business sector and attract new tech businesses, entrepreneurs and employees to the state. The vtTA worked with Vermont officials to expand IT contracting opportunities with the state, shared information about Vermonts tech sector and opportunities with the Vermont Legislature, and partnered with state agencies on job recruiting and economic development. The vtTA participated in job fairs to share members career opportunities.--
Communications and Networking: The Vermont Technology Alliance shared news, resources and event listings through its monthly newsletter, web site and social media channels, all of which grew in readers and followers. The vtTA sponsored events to share information and bring the tech community together, including Lunch & Learn sessions and social and networking events. The vtTA served as Vermonts primary tech business and jobs resource for individuals, businesses and organizations in and outside the state.--
Tech Job Recruitment: The vtTA published a Vermont Technology Recruitment Report and Plan. It outlines the key findings from research and discussions with tech firms throughout the state and proposed actions to improve the recruitment of tech employees to Vermont. The vtTA also produced an "Innov802." recruiting video to help attract a tech workforce to Vermont. The video has been adopted for use on the State of Vermonts ThinkVT website. The vtTA also developed a plan for a Vermont tech job recruitment website to attract and inform job seekers and telecommuters to Vermont.--
