Mission

A thousand joys (atj) was founded in 2006 to help individuals and organizations reach their highest potential. We specialize in working directly with high-risk children and families, and we support the organizations that serve them. Our innovative, comprehensive programs focus on trauma-related stress management, emotional regulation and healing. Atj's approach includes a holistic blend of business, psychology and complementary treatment modalities. The results are benefits that far surpass those derived from any single approach. From its inception, atj has sought to improve trauma therapeutic services. We have found that there are gaps in providing the skills that individuals and families need to manage the effects of trauma and regain personal power and a sense of well-being. We are bridging these gaps on an individual, client level through our school-based transform program, and on a broader level through our organizational wellness and trauma informed care services.
