Activity 2

Enrichment programs including making the grade, culture, character, and capacity, and families as partners serves approximately 275 students and their families annually.making the grade is a comprehensive academic enrichment program consisting of courses in math and language arts, weekly tutoring, ap study groups, and skill-building workshops. The goal of making the grade is to give students from low-income backgrounds and under-funded schools the academic foundation to succeed in college level course work at selective four-year colleges. Students in the summer portion of making the grade advanced proficiencies in mathematics by an average of 45%.culture, character, capacity is a wrap-around program that provides students with exposure to community service opportunities and job-shadowing and an on-going "bank account" of financial, social service, mentoring resources, and cultural events. The goals of the 3 c's are provide students with the cultural capital to succeed in diverse higher education settings, to experience the power of service to others, and to mitigate the effects of social, financial and psychological hardship that disrupt students on their path to college success. Families as partners builds the capacity of families to support their child's planning and preparation for higher education, as well as their persistence in college through a series of 17 workshops annually.

Activity 3

Complete u serves approximately 215 collegians at public and private colleges and universities within missouri and across the united states. This comprehensive program ensures that students who are admitted to college graduate from college. Complete u provides students with a broad safety net of human and financial resources, including placement in a cohort group, one-on-one financial aid advising, assistance with course selection, and regular check-ins with a complete u persistence coach. The services provided to college bound students resulted in a sophomore year re-enrollment rate of 93%.
