“The new life school has a management agreement with lssny, a related organization, to provide management services which include but are not limited to: accounting and financial operations, administrative and program support, human resources, information technology and general management.”

When the form 990 has been prepared, reviewed by management and is ready to be filed with the internal revenue service, it is electronically sent to the board for approval. If a potential or actual conflict exists, the board or committee will inform the member of the basis of such belief and afford the member an opportunity to respond. The board or committee will disclose the conflict of interest and how the conflict was handled. The person with the actual conflict of interest will be prohibited from voting on the matter that gives rise to the conflict. If there has been substantial and repeated failures to disclose actual conflicts of interest, the board may take appropriate disciplinary and corrective action, including removal of the member.”

“The organization makes its form 990 available for public inspection as required under section 6104 of the internal revenue code. The return is also posted on guidestar.org and other similar types of websites. In addition, the financial statements, conflict of interest policy, articles of incorporation and by-laws are also available upon written request or by calling the organization directly.”

“On october 13, 2023, the board of directors closed the school after evaluating enrollment levels, financial considerations, and strategic priorities. While the school ceased operations, the organization ensured that students were transitioned to appropriate alternative educational placements and that closure activities were completed in accordance with regulatory and contractual obligations.”
