Self-produced and launched a new international residency program for carpe diem string quartet: seize the music florence- in florence italy. A weeklong intensive chamber music workshop experience and concert for adult amateurs, including coaching in a side-by-side format and a concert performed by participants and carpe diem members. Adult amateur program to be repeated this season in siena, italy. Free concerts: carpe diem musicare - the quartet performed multiple concerts at retirement homes, memory care units, and skilled nursing facilities throughout central ohio and while on tour. These are always given free to the facility and its residents. The ohio women's reformatory - the quartet has developed a relationship with the ohio women's reformatory and will be returning on at least an annual basis to give free concerts to the residents. Free community concert: carpe diem performed a full length program for the don harris memorial concert - free and open to the public, a concert of the string quartets of legendary composer, administrator, and columbus arts leader donald harris. Free family concerts: on sundays during every carpe diem concert weekend, the quartet presents informal concert experiences for young people and their families. Free concerts for families are also performed throughout communities while we are on tour. Free school concerts: carpe diem plays free concerts for the entire student body of local area schools at home and also while on tour. Concert series: five concert weekends in columbus oh, carpe diem self- produces eclectic thematic events, sometimes alone and sometimes with collaborative partners, which include jeff midkiff, mandolin, leon littlebird, native american flute, a choir comprised of members of the columbus symphony chorus, and columbus dance theatre. Continued artistic collaborative partnership with columbus dance theatre in a repeat launching of the production of courage. Continued community collaboration with the families and friends network, goodwill, and the on my own foundation. Concerts: carpe diem invited to and performed in performing arts venues in co, fl, ma, mi, mn, nh, ny, oh, tx, vt, wv, as well as florence and siena, italy.
