The methodist justice ministry provides free legal servcies to domestically abused women and children whose income is less than 125% of the poverty level. Services include legal representation in court, obtaining and servicing protective orders and other court documents at no cost to the client. The ministry also provides pastoral, financial, and other counseling services to assist the clients to escape the cycle of domestic abuse. Since its inception, the ministry has served 980 women and 1804 children. They have provided 795 counseling sessions and 2,784 lives have been changed.
