The board of directors delegates the daily operational functions of bookkeeping and general administrative tasks to mary ryan, an independent consultant who also provides these services to similar organizations.

Each member acknowledges that they have reviewed the return. Upon receipt of acknowledgement from all board members, the form 990 is signed by an authorized officer and filed with the internal revenue service.

The institute accounts for uncertainty in income taxes in accordance with asc topic, income taxes. This standard clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in tax positions and prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statements regarding a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The institute has determined that there are no uncertain tax positions which qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements at june 30, 2018 and 2017. Additionally, the institute believes that its tax-exempt status would more likely than not be sustained under examination. The institute's tax returns that have been filed and are subject to examination are for the years ended june 30, 2017, 2016, and 2015.
