“Nhsh provides affordable year-round housing for the year-round residents of north haven. Nhsh has housed several island families through renovation and new construction for both rental and home-ownership, as well as conducting home energy audits and weatherization for year-round island homes. Accomplishments: in fy 23-24 the organization started the construction of 3 new rental units and 2 home ownership opportunities. In fy 23-24 we continued to provide reduced rate rentals to 4 households. In fy 23-24 we engaged with hundreds of community members through events, newsletters, or social media campaigns. In fy 23-24 we raised close to one million dollars through fundraising events or campaigns to support the our island home campaign, supporting the development of five affordable rental units and five ome ownership opportunities.”
