“Objectives:the mpsn fellowship is a one-of-a-kind summer experience that educates, connects, and inspires talented muslims to make a difference through public service. There are three components of the mpsn summer fellowship: lecture series on islam & public ethics; cooperative living; and career mentoring from alumni. Achievements:during 2024, we continued our partnership with another nonprofit,the islamic scholarship fund, to host a diverse cohort offourteen students with summer internships in dc. We providedhousing and food for the fellows, free of charge to them.through dedicated efforts and generous support from donors,mpsn raised $112,730.23 from individual donors and donor advisedfunds for the costs of operating the 2024 fellowship. Goals for the future:1.further increase the diversity of our applicant pool. We aim for increased diversity in our fellowship, primarily in terms of socioeconomic background, school ranking, and race. 2.further develop our curriculum. We aim to enhance the impact of our program by incorporating feedback from fellows and stakeholders. This includes developing new curriculum components, providing formal and informal mentoring opportunities, and fostering a sense of familiarity among our various classes, which span from 1994 to 2023.3.diversify funding streams.recognizing the importance of diverse funding streams, we aim to ensure long term sustainability by exploring new fundraising opportunities,including additional grants, corporate partnerships, and individual giving campaigns.”
