The memorial trustees controls the distribution or obligation of the assets of the endowment (the nancy clements beck memorial fund) for established purposes, and has the right to invest, maintain, properly distribute, and watch over any other specifically restricted funds which may be established by the the board of directors.

Decisions regarding the use of the endowment fund and any other specifically restricted funds are subject to approval by the memorial trustees, the majority of which are required to be non-members of the board of directors.

The purpose of the fund is to provide an enabling resource for the organization to facilitate projects to meet the housing needs of income eligible individuals and families in the greater wolfeboro area. The intent was to establish a permanently restricted fund with an expectation to protect the principal balance and reasonably maintain it relative to inflation in perpetuity.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is not a taxpaying entity for federal or state income tax purposes; accordingly, a provision for income taxes has not been recorded in the accompanying financial statements; no reserves for uncertain income tax positions were recorded; and the organization did not record a cumulative effect adjustment related to the adoption of asc 740.
