“Line 2 - history of save historic jackson hole save historic jackson hole was formed by citizens concerned about land development, wildlife and conservation in jackson hole. We consider teton county wyoming to be the boundary of jackson hole. The goal was to maintain the unique community character of jackson hole, promote land use regulations that allow our abundant wildlife to flourish, and minimize human intrusion into the fragile local environment while respecting private property rights. The organization was founded to educate citizens on these issues which form our core values. We educate citizens by participating in public meetings, placing newspaper ads and attending meetings with concerned citizens. We encourage citizens to participate in the decision process on issues that impact our core values. We monitor local development issues by conducting surveys, reading staff reports for town and county planning departments and attending public meetings. This information is used to educate the public on issues that will impact our core values.”

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3LINE 2 - HISTORY OF SAVE HISTORIC JACKSON HOLE SAVE HISTORIC JACKSON HOLE WAS FORMED BY CITIZENS CONCERNED ABOUT LAND DEVELOPMENT, WILDLIFE AND CONSERVATION IN JACKSON HOLE. WE CONSIDER TETON COUNTY WYOMING TO BE THE BOUNDARY OF JACKSON HOLE. THE GOAL WAS TO MAINTAIN THE UNIQUE COMMUNITY CHARACTER OF JACKSON HOLE, PROMOTE LAND USE REGULATIONS THAT ALLOW OUR ABUNDANT WILDLIFE TO FLOURISH, AND MINIMIZE HUMAN INTRUSION INTO THE FRAGILE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT WHILE RESPECTING PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS. THE ORGANIZATION WAS FOUNDED TO EDUCATE CITIZENS ON THESE ISSUES WHICH FORM OUR CORE VALUES. WE EDUCATE CITIZENS BY PARTICIPATING IN PUBLIC MEETINGS, PLACING NEWSPAPER ADS AND ATTENDING MEETINGS WITH CONCERNED CITIZENS. WE ENCOURAGE CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DECISION PROCESS ON ISSUES THAT IMPACT OUR CORE VALUES. WE MONITOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT ISSUES BY CONDUCTING SURVEYS, READING STAFF REPORTS FOR TOWN AND COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENTS AND ATTENDING PUBLIC MEETINGS. THIS INFORMATION IS USED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON ISSUES THAT WILL IMPACT OUR CORE VALUES.
