Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11B

A copy of the 990 is provided to the organization's executive director and contract accountant for review before filing. They review the 990, make any recommendations, and present it to the Finance Committee for further review. The Board is then given a copy to review. After all recommendations are taken into consideration, the 990 is filed.

To regularly and consistently monitor and enforce compliance with the conflict of interest policy, board members review the conflict of interest policy and sign a conflict of interest policy and sign a conflict of interest compliance and disclosure statement annually.

The process used to determine officer and key employee compensation includes a review and approval by the executive committee of the board of directors. Compensation is compared to comparable positions with other non-profit organizations in the region. A performance factor is incorporated into the data, and the full board of directors approves the compensation.

The organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to the public. Audited financial statements and Form 990 are posted on the organization's website and on www.guidestar.org. Any documents that are not on those sources are available upon request.

Every day we provide valuable tools through educational workshops, consulting, collaborative events, monthly roundtables and an annual conference that educates and informs nonprofit professionals, their supporters and the community. This last year, over 2,900 individuals attended CNE workshops, trainings, roundtables and Nonprofit Day Conference.
