The treasurer of the organization distributes a pdf copy of the 990 to all board members for review and comment prior to the return being filed.

At each board and committee meeting, if there is a discussion of selecting or engaging a vendor or service provider, all in attendance are asked to recuse themselves from this discussion if there could be a perceived conflict. Annually, the organization reviews and discusses the conflict of interest policy and requests that each board member list and acknowledge any known conflicts.

IRS990/Desc0New Global Citizens provides afterschool programs and supplemental curriculum to Middle and High schools. NGC programs inspire youth to become engaged global citizens by providing them a global perspective, an opportunity to create change, and the tools to act on their passion and make a difference. The NCG Afterschool program allows studentd to take action on the issues they are most passionate about outside the classroom. Using NGC resources for guidance on global issues, sustainability, and action, students lead a group of peers in local efforts for a global impact. The NGC classroom program integrates pressing global issues into the school curriculum, from English to Science. By engaging in NGC resources and curriculum, students develop critical acadenic skills and become engaged global citizens. The NGC programs have served more than 30,000 students across 18 states in the past 7 years.
