“The noaa watershed vanguard for education (waves) program is designed to offer locally relevant environmental education opportunities to students,as well as offering professional development for educators. The main objectives are for students to gain an overall understanding of the watershed concept and understand how actions on the local level can affect overall water quality. The noaa waves program reaches approximately 200 students in eight schools in two counties.”
