IRS990/Desc0BF supports child care and preschool programs by providing free quality improvement coaching professional development. A total of 30 professional development trainings were offered and were attended by 242 people. BF oversees a coaching, training and mentoring initiative to assist early childhood teachers in embedding early childhood mental health and social-emotional learning in their classrooms. They focus on teaching children lifelong skills like how to make friends, problem solving, conflict resolution and how to identify with their emotions and the emotions of others. This fiscal year, 2,453 children were served along with 264 early childhood teachers. BF hosted 8 parenting workshops with 265 attendees. BF roll in supporting children and families was magnified due to COVID-19. We provided PPE, cleaning supplies, childcare scholarships to families and trainings on best practices adhering to public health guidelines. BF supported families by delivering essentials like diapers, food and wipes. We assisted with school supplies and served as a referral source to and for other community resources.
