“The organization qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501 (c)(3) of the internal revenue code; accordingly, the association is not subject to federal or state income tax. During 2018, the organization was informed by the state that it was not in compliance with the reporting standards under the tennessee employment security law and regulations and was delinquent in the payment of its unemployment taxes from 2013 through the first half of 2018. This resulted in the organization having to pay unemployment tax of approximately 28,000. As of the date of the independent auditor's report, there has been no communication with the internal revenue service (irs) for any potential federal liability resulting from the noncompliance, and the organization cannot reasonably estimate a liability due to the irs. This matter was fully resolved with the state as of september 30, 2020.”

DURING 2018, THE ORGANIZATION WAS INFORMED BY THE STATE THAT IT WAS NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE REPORTING STANDARDS UNDER THE TENNESSEE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY LAW AND REGULATIONS AND WAS DELINQUENT IN THE PAYMENT OF ITS UNEMPLOYMENT TAXES FROM 2013 THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF 2018. THIS RESULTED IN THE ORGANIZATION HAVING TO PAY UNEMPLOYMENT TAX OF APPROXIMATELY 28,000. AS OF THE DATE OF THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S REPORT, THERE HAS BEEN NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (IRS) FOR ANY POTENTIAL FEDERAL LIABILITY RESULTING FROM THE NONCOMPLIANCE, AND THE ORGANIZATION CANNOT REASONABLY ESTIMATE A LIABILITY DUE TO THE IRS. THIS MATTER WAS FULLY RESOLVED WITH THE STATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2020. |
