THE GRANT IS BEING USED TO STABILIZE THE HOUSING PRICES IN PRAIRIE DU CHIEN BY PURCHASING FORECLOSED, VACANT, OR BLIGHTED HOMES THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE ABILITY TO SELL OTHER PROPERTIES LOCATED NEAR IT. THE HOMES ARE THEN REJUVENATED AND SOLD TO QUALIFIED LOW INCOME FAMILIES. EFFECTIVE MARCH 2012 THIS PROGRAM IS BEING HANDLED BY ANOTHER ORGANIZATION AND WAS TRANSFERRED FROM PRAIRIE DU CHIEN REVITALIZATION INC.
