“- 18th season - surviving ongoing pandemic realities and challenges while maintaining organization's fiscal health as well as the health and wellbeing of all employees and contract personnel. - maintaining robust pandemic health, safety, and sanitation protocols for all staff, facility, and student functions and operations and successfully avoided all known pandemic outbreaks and contagion. - maintained and managed our professional performance company of diverse dancers (eight employee dancers) and raising salary levels for all. - created and premiered 45 new dance works and five revivals works from 34 choreographers. - conducted seven unique, ticketed public performances in three different venues. Four of the shows were performed by our company of employee dancers over multiple nights. The remaining three shows were the conclusions of dance education and training programs. - held our four-week summer professional and pre-professional dance training programs (move + summer dance platform) for 52 aspiring dancers. - maintained and refined our unique and innovative dancers of color initiative (doci) which provides responsive and flexible financial and other forms of direct support to young dancers of color participating in our educational programming. - enriching the lives of our local constituents with dance, movement, and creative expression through educational and outreach programing for adults and youth, including offering 48 classes per week and our dance moves outreach program serving underserved youth and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities (pre-pandemic numbers). - returned to fully in-person adult and youth community dance classes and held multiple week-long dance training programs for youth as well as community outreach engagements.
