Clinic. We never turn any child away for lack of insurance or inability to pay for services. North metro pediatrics sees patients 5 days a week, as well as thursday evenings. North metro pediatrics' patient base is growing quickly, with approximately 20% of visits each month from new patients. North metro pediatrics sees approximately 120 patient visits a month. North metro pediatrics partners with children's dental services, giving them a procedure room to see patients on-site, 1 day per month, providing low-cost dental care to nmp patients. Nmp is the health consultant to the anoka- hennepin school district, and is a member charity of the community health fund. Nmp has an in-person assister on staff for patients interested in signing up for health care coverage through the mnsure exchange. Nmp is also in its fourth year of health care home certification from the state of minnesota

HOWEVER, A MAJORITY OF OUR PRIVATELY INSURED FAMILIES EARN TOO MUCH TO QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID BUT NOT ENOUGH TO COVER THE PREMIUMS AND HIGH DEDUCTIBLES THAT ARE OFTEN FOUND IN PRIVATE INSURANCE PLANS FOUND THROUGH THE STATE EXCHANGE. MANY OF OUR PRIVATELY INSURED PATIENTS FACE MONTHLY PREMIUMS AS HIGH AS 800 AND DEDUCTIBLES AS HIGH AS 15,000 THESE PATIENTS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD VISITS AT A REGULAR CLINIC. NORTH METRO PEDIATRICS' PATIENT BASE IS GROWING QUICKLY, WITH APPROXIMATELY 20% OF VISITS EACH MONTH FROM NEW PATIENTS. NORTH METRO PEDIATRICS SEES APPROXIMATELY 120 PATIENT VISITS A MONTH. NORTH METRO PEDIATRICS PARTNERS WITH CHILDREN'S DENTAL SERVICES, GIVING THEM A PROCEDURE ROOM TO SEE PATIENTS ON-SITE, 1 DAY PER MONTH, PROVIDING LOW-COST DENTAL CARE TO NMP PATIENTS. NMP IS THE HEALTH CONSULTANT TO THE ANOKA- HENNEPIN SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND IS A MEMBER CHARITY OF THE COMMUNITY HEALTH FUND. NMP HAS AN IN-PERSON ASSISTER ON STAFF FOR PATIENTS INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP FOR HEALTH CARE COVERAGE THROUGH THE MNSURE EXCHANGE. NMP IS ALSO IN ITS FOURTH YEAR OF HEALTH CARE HOME CERTIFICATION FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA
