Audited financial statements were prepared in accordance with international standards on auditing and in the light of the prevailing egyptian laws.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

In accordance with the egyptian standards: income taxes -sanabel establishment decree stipulates that it is a non-profit organization and therefore its net activity is not subjected to income tax. Labor gain tax - the microfinance network of arab countries- sanabel pays the regular monthly income tax from the beginning of the activity within the legal deadlines. The microfinance network of arab countries- sanabel checked by the competent taxation authority and settled the labor gain tax starting from the beginning of the activity until the 31st of december 2021. The microfinance network of arab countries- sanabel checked by the competent taxation authority and settled the labor gain tax for the fiscal year starting from 1st of january 2022 till 31st of december 2022, where the tax and inspection differences were paid. Deduction at source tax -the microfinance network of arab countries- sanabel regularly applies the provisions of deduction & collection under the tax account. The tax authority has not inspected the deduction at source tax from the establishment of the microfinance network of arab countries- sanabel and till date. Stamp tax - the microfinance network of arab countries-sanabel regularly applies the provisions of the stamp law and its amendments. The tax authority has inspected the stamp tax from 2005 till 2018. The due tax value is egp 501,933 and delay fees is egp 662,927. The due tax fees is totally settled and we currently negotiates the payment of the late tax due fees (the management of the microfinance network of arab countries sanabel allocate 35% of the late tax due fees as per provisions of law 153, year 2022 and by overriding the consideration for delay and additional tax in the matter of ending tax disputes. The delay fee was paid in february 2023, taking advantage of law 153.

AS PART OF THIS INITIATIVE, A NUMBER OF TRAINING COURSES WERE TRANSLATED AND ADAPTED TO THE REGION AND A CADRE OF TRAINERS WERE TRAINED AND CERTIFIED IN THE DELIVERY OF A RANGE OF MICROFINANCE COURSES. SANABEL'S CURRENT TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM INCLUDES TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOTS) COURSES, WHICH PROVIDES PARTICIPANTS WITH THE ABILITY TO DISSEMINATE THEIR KNOWLEDGE TO OTHER INSTITUTIONS AFTER BEING CERTIFIED BY SANABEL. ADDITIONALLY, SANABEL IS COMMITTED TO OFFERING TOTS IN ARABIC IN AN EFFORT TO INCREASE THE POOL OF QUALIFIED EXPERIENCED TRAINERS. THE TRAINING PROGRAM SEEKS TO PROVIDE THE MICROFINANCE SECTOR WITH DIFFERENT MEANS OF DEVELOPMENT AND TO ENSURE BETTER OUTREACH.

DEDUCTION AT SOURCE TAX -THE MICROFINANCE NETWORK OF ARAB COUNTRIES- SANABEL REGULARLY APPLIES THE PROVISIONS OF DEDUCTION & COLLECTION UNDER THE TAX ACCOUNT. THE TAX AUTHORITY HAS NOT INSPECTED THE DEDUCTION AT SOURCE TAX FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MICROFINANCE NETWORK OF ARAB COUNTRIES- SANABEL AND TILL DATE. STAMP TAX - THE MICROFINANCE NETWORK OF ARAB COUNTRIES-SANABEL REGULARLY APPLIES THE PROVISIONS OF THE STAMP LAW AND ITS AMENDMENTS. THE TAX AUTHORITY HAS INSPECTED THE STAMP TAX FROM 2005 TILL 2018. THE DUE TAX VALUE IS EGP 501,933 AND DELAY FEES IS EGP 662,927. THE DUE TAX FEES IS TOTALLY SETTLED AND WE CURRENTLY NEGOTIATES THE PAYMENT OF THE LATE TAX DUE FEES (THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MICROFINANCE NETWORK OF ARAB COUNTRIES SANABEL ALLOCATE 35% OF THE LATE TAX DUE FEES AS PER PROVISIONS OF LAW 153, YEAR 2022 AND BY OVERRIDING THE CONSIDERATION FOR DELAY AND ADDITIONAL TAX IN THE MATTER OF ENDING TAX DISPUTES. THE DELAY FEE WAS PAID IN FEBRUARY 2023, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF LAW 153.
