The mission of good samaritan community health, inc. (gsch) is to promote the gospel of the lord jesus christ. Gsch provides physical, emotional and spiritual aid to hurting people in our community and other areas in the world with the purpose of sharing god's love through his son, jesus christ. The medical clinic provides high quality, cost efficient, compassionate health care services to all, regardless of religion, creed, race or national origin, including, as permitted by its resources, charity care.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Gsch's main activity has been the operation of a medical clinic in miami and naranja, florida. Since september 2007, the medical clinic has primarily provided charity care medical services to those with no medical insurance of any kind and whose income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Patients have been charged on a sliding fee scale which adjusts charges based on the patient's family size and income, in relation to the federal poverty guidelines. Approximately 95% of the patients served have income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines and accordingly, their fees have been significantly less than the value provided. An average of 200 patients a month have received health care at the medical clinic.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

As of august 2011 gsch has been involved in short-term mission trips to nicaragua, central america, with the purpose of spreading the love of jesus christ , while providing needy people living in remote rural areas with free medical care, medicines and medical supplies, plus donated shoes and clothing. As of december 31, 2016 twenty-four mission trips have been carried out, with a total of over 7,600 medical consults. Nicaragua is the poorest country in central america and the second poorest in the western hemisphere. Underemployment and poverty are widespread. In 2016, gsch made a mission trip to reynosa, mexico 231 medical consults were provided. Gsch made a 1,000 grant to the cubit foundation, inc. To be used for the big heart orphanage in reyonsa, mexico. Big heart orphanage is a non-profit christian organization. They are dedicated to being a blessing in reynosa, mexico by means of transforming the lives of children left in their care. They strive to emulate the love and passion christ has given to the world. Through quality education, healthy meals, and a nurturing family environment, they hope to give every child the tools and skills necessary to achieve their full potential and the opportunity to accept christ as their savior. Gsch made a 3,000 grant to the alliance for renewal churches to be used for the mission city of refuge reynosa, mexico: god has allowed them to build approximately 200 homes for people who would never in their lifetime be able to have a home of their own. Through building these homes, they have been able to share the good news of jesus christ with the families who would be living in them. Amazing mission teams have come from all over the united states and canada to provide the funds for and to help build these homes. Some of these groups have returned year after year to build more homes and more relationships, leading to a feeling of a family reunion each time they meet. We have been able to facilitate in acquiring sponsors for school scholarships to help keep these kids in school and off the streets.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3THE MISSION OF GOOD SAMARITAN COMMUNITY HEALTH, INC. AS A PART OF ITS MISSION, GSCH ESTABLISHED AN OUTPATIENT MEDICAL CLINIC (MEDICAL CLINIC) TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME PERSONS ACCESS TO PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt4GSCH'S MAIN ACTIVITY HAS BEEN THE OPERATION OF A MEDICAL CLINIC IN MIAMI AND NARANJA, FLORIDA.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt5AS OF AUGUST 2011 GSCH HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS TO NICARAGUA, CENTRAL AMERICA, WITH THE PURPOSE OF SPREADING THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST , WHILE PROVIDING NEEDY PEOPLE LIVING IN REMOTE RURAL AREAS WITH FREE MEDICAL CARE, MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES, PLUS DONATED SHOES AND CLOTHING. GSCH MADE A 1,000 GRANT TO THE CUBIT FOUNDATION,INC.
