“The tax form 990 is completed by the tax preparer. The agency for jewish learning's (ajl) board of directors, based on a review of it's finances, results of operations, and mission statement, has approved a dissolution of the organization. The board of directors has authorized legal counsel and the jewish federation of greater pittsburgh, a 501(c)(3) charitable non profit organization, to manage the dissolution process. A draft of the "final" federal 990 for the short period ending with the completion of the dissolution process, was forwarded to the ajl board chairman, controller, and legal counsel prior to filing. Ajl's legal counsel has formally notified all appropriate government agencies and affected parties concerning the dissolution process.”

“Termination and dissolution: the agency for jewish learning (ajl) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which has been conducting its charitable operations on a fiscal june 30 year end since its formation in 2004. During the fiscal year ended june 30,2015, ajl management and board of directors reviewed the operations and finances of the organization and resolved that the agency for jewish learning will be dissolved and will work collaboratively with the jewish federation of greater pittsburgh to establish a center within the federation that will continue to fulfill the misssion of the agency. The board engaged the services of outside legal counsel to facilitate the termination and dissolution of the organization which was effective on october 31, 2015. (this "final" 990 filing is for the short period from july 1, 2015 to october 31, 2015). We have attached the following pdf files for your information: 1.
