Local chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management. The association meets quarterly to share experiences of the members in the human resources field. A member receives direct benefit of other members with significant time in the field (10+ years) who may have already developed and tested solution(s) to the challenge(s) faced by the inquiring member through open discussion at the meeting as well as one on one discussions outside of formal meetings Each quarterly meeting has a guest speaker with extensive expertise on a particular topic of interest to the membership. The chapter does not collect dues currently, our meeting sites as well as any expenses assoicated with a meeting are often donated by the hosting member. Our income is from national SHRM and our expenses are costs associated with sending our officers to state and national SHRM leadership conferences plus nominal meeting expenses. There were 42 active members in 2013 who benefitted from membership
