“Phoenix animal rescue is an all-volunteer rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from municipal shelters for placement in adoptive homes. We primarily focus on saving dogs from shelters who might otherwise be euthanized, providing them with veterinary care to prepare them for adoption, and holding weekly adoption events at petsmart so that each dog will find their forever home. While awaiting adoption, each of our rescued dogs live in a foster home with a family who is provided with training instruction, dog food, a dog crate, and all necessary dog supplies for their foster dog. When an adoptable dog shows potential for service work, we provide specialized training to teach these dogs how to be a service dog for a veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder.”
