“MIPI is exempt from federal and state income taxes under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been reflected in the accompanying financial statements. The Organization has been determined by the Internal Revenue Service not to be a "Private Foundation" within the meaning of Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. MIPI, in accordance with accounting standards regarding uncertainty in income taxes, has evaluated uncertain tax positions and has determined that it has no uncertain tax positions. Furthermore, MIPI had no unrecognized tax benefits at December 31, 2015 and 2014. In addition, the Organization has no income tax related penalties or interest for periods presented in these financial statements.”

Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been reflected in the accompanying financial statements. The Organization has been determined by the Internal Revenue Service not to be a "Private Foundation" within the meaning of Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. MIPI, in accordance with accounting standards regarding uncertainty in income taxes, has evaluated uncertain tax positions and has determined that it has no uncertain tax positions. Furthermore, MIPI had no unrecognized tax benefits at December 31, 2015 and 2014. In addition, the Organization has no income tax related penalties or interest for periods presented in these financial statements.
