Mission

Mindup, the signature program of the hawn foundation, is an evidence-based, casel-accredited socio-emotional learning program for students age 3-14. The mindup school program model is designed for educators and school staff members to engage in workshops (con sch o) led by mindup certified consultants to learn the four pillars of mindup and how the curriculum increases student engagement, academic standards, and overall well-being.

The hawn foundation's mission is to improve the overall well-being of children, youth, and adults by providing them with the tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions, and face the challenges of the 21st century with resilience. The hawn foundation dba the goldie hawn foundation ("the foundation") is a california tax exempt nonprofit corporation formed for the purpose to improve the overall well-being of children, youth and adults by providing them with the tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions, and face the challenges of the 21st century with resilience. The foundation's signature program, mindup, is an acclaimed classroom-based curriculum, spanning ages 3 to 14. Developed by a team of experts focusing on four pillars: neuroscience, social-emotional learning (sel), positive psychology and mindful awareness. The curriculum consists of a series of lessons that work together to build a scaffolding of awareness and skills necessary to increase prosocial behavior, executive functioning, and social and emotional competence. Mindup teaches children how to focus their attention, use brain breaks to manage stress, act with empathy, and build resilience in the face of challenge. Www.mindup.org mindup is accredited by casel, the world's leading organization dedicated to advancing socio-emotional learning. Mindup is a casel select program.
