Part iii - statement of program services accomplishmentsprimary exempt purpose: with a faith-filled foundation, managed by a committed board and volunteer staff, the organization exists to provide, in the spirit of jesus christ, nourishing meals in an atmosphere of caring and acceptance for the needy. Specifically, we offer a delicious, hot, home-cooked meal on thursday evenings to any that would like one, regardless of means or circumstance. In addition, the organization works alongside other local church groups and organizations to enhance their own service programs, handling the burden of food preparation, allowing the group to focus on meeting the other physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those they are intent on serving. We want to serve our community one meal at a time. Part iii - exempt purpose achievements2013 accomplishments: in the power of jesus christ, the organization provided over 15,000 free community meals, 400 holiday food baskets, and catered for over 5,000 in special events that serve our local community needs. We have grown our volunteer base from 3 volunteers two years ago to hundreds of volunteers that pick up donations, prepare and serve meals, deliver meals, and clean and organize for our weekly meals as well as our holiday food basket programs. We continue to serve our free community meal each thursday, delivery to shut-ins and elderly in their own homes and neighborhoods. We serve approximately 400 meals every week.
