To improve the lives of vulnerable children and families by mobilizing Rotarians and partner organizations globally in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Together we support the implementation of and provide sustainability for child-centered disease prevention programs in the developing world.

OFFERINGS INCLUDE LIFESAVING SCREENINGS FOR HIV, TB, MALARIA, DIABETES, BLOOD PRESSURE, CERVICAL/BREAST CANCER; AND LIFELONG IMMUNIZATIONS FOR POLIO, MEASLES AND OTHER VACCINES. FAMILY COUNSELING AND DISTRIBUTION OF CONDOMS, AND DEWORMING AND VITAMIN A SUPPLEMENTS ARE PROVIDED. LINKAGES TO CARE ARE PROVIDED FOR ALL CITIZENS TESTING POSITIVE; A DATA COLLECTION TOOL IS USED TO VALIDATE SERVICE OFFERINGS AND RESULTS; AND A 90 DAY IMPACT STUDY IS EXECUTED TO PROVE IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY. THIS NATIONAL PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTED ACROSS EACH COUNTRY AT HUNDREDS OF SITES, THROUGH A MASSIVE PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP THAT RFHA DEVELOPED WITH EACH COUNTRY'S ROTARY CLUBS, THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH, THE CDC AND USAID TEAMS, THE ROTARY FOUNDATION, PRIVATE SECTOR FOUNDATIONS, AND LARGE MEDIA HOUSES. IN OCTOBER 2015, THE FIFTH YEAR OF EXECUTION, THE PROGRAM SERVED 344,058 CITIZENS IN THE COUNTRIES OF NIGERIA, UGANDA, GHANA AND SOUTH AFRICA. THE MEDICAL SERVICES, MOBILIZATION/MEDIA/PRIVATE SECTOR SUPPORT AND ALL IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS FROM 5,222 ROTARIANS WERE VALUED AT $14,852,820.

A Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the in-country RFFA/Rotary leadership steering committee and RFFA headquarters. It states in a budget how the funds will be used. It is also agreed that a final report will be submitted at the end of the project. In this report will be a narrative explaining the program rollout, in addition to showing the actual expenditure of funds. Bank statements showing a zero balance, as well as receipts of all expenditures accompany this final report. The RFFA/Rotary Steering Committee provides ongoing oversight of all activities, financial and otherwise throughout the project time. The funds are used to pay for all the mobilization costs, training, travel, marketing, printing supplies, etc., and oversight during the entire program.
