PART X, LINE 2:

The internal revenue service has ruled that elmdale apartments nonprofit housing corporation is exempt from federal income taxes because it is an organization described under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Tax positions taken are assessed for uncertainty and a provision may be recorded if a tax position is not likely to be sustained upon examination. In addition, the project is exempt from property taxes under michigan general property tax code. With limited exceptions, the project is no longer subject to tax audits by federal authorities for years prior to 2010.
