Their purpose is to: promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship raise the standars of home life secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education”

“Jefferson pta (parent, teacher association) exists for several reasons. We are here to show our children that school matters and that we are invested in their success. By partnering with our principal, teachers and other staff, we arestriving to make the school a safe, fun, welcoming hub of learning for our children. We are here to share in campus events and experiences, which will ultimately make our chilrens school days more memorable. We are here to make sure all parents and family members voices are heard when important decisions that affect our school are made. Ultimately, the pta speaks for every child with one voice and seeks to create a welcoming and inclusive community for every parent, teacher and student.”
