In 2024, the charitable arm of the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges dedicated itself to uplifting professional concierges and strengthening the New York City community through purposeful programs. Serving the metropolitan New York area, we fostered connections between concierges, local nonprofits, and cultural partners to enhance the regions hospitality ecosystemWe hosted engaging assemblies that brought together concierges, community leaders, and industry supporters. These gatherings facilitated partnerships with local businesses and showcased the vital role concierges play in promoting tourism. Members took part in a range of civic-oriented experiences, including visits to emerging dining venues, historic sites, theater performances, and community festivals, deepening their ties to New York Citys cultural fabric.Professional development was a key focus, with our charitable arm providing accessible educational resources. We offered funding for training in ethical hospitality, community outreach, and certifications such as notary public licensing. New seminars on eco-conscious tourism and digital tools for guest services empowered concierges to excel as advocates for sustainable travel.Our 2024 community initiatives delivered meaningful impact. We contributed to FareShare Friday, aiding local efforts to combat food insecurity. Members actively supported the AIDS Walk NY, raising funds for critical health programs. We also held a holiday toy drive with PATHHSEO/Caldwell Soup Kitchen, distributing gifts to families in need. Our relief fund grew, offering financial support to concierges navigating personal or professional difficulties, underscoring our commitment to their well-being.We promoted exemplary standards in the concierge profession, advocating for ethical practices and the value of concierges in the tourism sector.
