“Networked digital library of theses and dissertations was founded to help graduate students and universities learn about electronic publishing and digital libraries (etd's). This can be accomplished by assisting students in applying knowledge learned toward research and implentation of etd's; helping universities learn about digital libraries and collect, catalog, archive, and make etd's accessible to scholars worldwide; encouraging universities in the southeast and beyond to unlock the potential of intellectual property and productions; improving graduate education through more effective sharing; and speeding up knowledge sharing, using technology, as graduate research results become more readily and completely available.”
