“Advancing leadership transforms passionate people into a community of extraordinary leaders. Our comprehensive program builds relationships, develops personal strengths, and inspires a commitment to action. Advancing leadership has assisted more than 150 members of the community through it's adult and youth programs.”

“Adult program - advancing leadership brings together people who live, work and/or volunteer in federal way for a comprehensive community experience. Over nine months, september to june, participants meet at different loctions around the city to learn about the important facets of a successful community, work with over 100 local leaders and develop personal leadership skills using our specialized training. The program culminates in a class project that utilizes collective strengths and leaves a lasting impact on federal way. Participants graduate from our program fully prepared to join the growing network of local leaders committed to driving positive change in our city and beyond. This program targets men and women who live, work or volunteer in federal way from every cultural and socio-economic background, stage of (adult) life and level of leadership experience. The program had 30 adult graduates and assisted 100 adult community members many of whom are leading federal way today.”

“Youth program - advancing leadership youth brings together teens from all over the city for a comprehensive community experience to nurture and develop positive leadership attributes to drive change in their communities. Students graduate from the aly program ready to take their places withing the new generation of leaders. This program generally targets high school sophomores and juniors of diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. The program had 65 youth graduates and assisted 50 youth in the community.”
