“At deafhope, the board of directors regularly and consistently monitors and enforces compliance with our written conflict of interest policy at monthly board meetings. Each member of the board has made a commitment to compliance with this policy by checking in with themselves and members of the board about potential conflicts in open and respectful dialog. Each member annually signs our board contract which includes this policy.”
“The board of directors decide the salary and benefits of the executive director of the agency. The voting members of the board, whom are all independent, have assessed fair and equitable compensation based on compensation of managers of agencies of similar size, field and location to deafhope.”
