The Rams serve about 300 kids, ages 5 to 16 in an athletic/academic program and travel throughout the year to competitive events. Transportation for the group has been self-funded since 2012. Club members work to raise the needed funds, and in the past, parents and volunteers made-up any shortfalls. Seventy-five percent of the kids in this program are at or below the poverty level, have never been outside of Rochester and are being raised by grandparents or a single parent. This grant request was to supplement the cost of charter service to compete in New Jersey for Regional Cheer & Dance Competition.
