Mission

Southern hills preservation corporation is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1986. The organization's mission is to promote affordable housing and community revitalization through development, financing, advocacy, counseling and education. The organization serves rural southern onondaga county, including the towns of fabius, lafayette, marcellus, onondaga, otisco, pompey, spaffors, skaneateles and tully. The organization provides products and services through the following primary activities: 1. Gathering data related to community development goals, 2. Construction and rehabilitation of housing for low-income residents, 3. Providing access to funds to help income-qualified homeowners make needed repairs on their homes and first time buyers purchase and rehabilitate a home, 4. Planning, technical assistance and real estate development to support community revitalization.

DURING THE HOME REHAB PROJECT, CONTRACTOR PAYMENT VOUCHERS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION ARE SUBMITTED TO THE BOOKKEEPER BASED ON THE COMPLETION SCHEDULE SET FORTH IN THE HOMEOWNER- CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT.
