Mission

Eastern division of the natinal ski patrol provied first aid and mountain safety in support of the snowsports industry and ski mountains

The Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol is made up of nearly 8,000 dedicated men and women from diverse backgrounds who share the same passion and love for skiing and want to join that passion with the ability to help or assist their fellow skiers and snowboarders who may be in trouble. The Eastern Division includes Alpine and Nordic ski areas from Maine to West Virginia in 15 regions throughout the Northeastern United States: Central NY Region CT Region Eastern NY Region Eastern PA EMARI Region (Eastern MA and RI) Genesee Valley Region Maine Region NH Region NJ Region Northern VT Region Southern NY Region Southern VT Region Western Appalachian Region (Western PA, MD, and parts of WV Western MA Region Western NY Region.The Eastern Division of the Ski Patrol provides training and support services to the individual patrols who provide the on the snow services we provide to the general public at individual snowsports areas. The majority of services are provided by volunteers.

The 15 Regional Directors elect the Division Director in even numbered years. The Division Director is the Chair of the Board and nominates from from among the members of the Board an Assistant Division Director subject to ratification by the Board. The Board elects a Secretary and a Treasurer from among the division members. At the Board's discretion, they may elect additional officers from the division members such as an Assistant Secretary or Assistant Treasurer.”

IRS990/MissionDesc0The Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol is made up of nearly 8,000 dedicated men and women from diverse backgrounds who share the same passion and love for skiing and want to join that passion with the ability to help or assist their fellow skiers and snowboarders who may be in trouble. The Eastern Division includes Alpine and Nordic ski areas from Maine to West Virginia in 15 regions throughout the Northeastern United States: Central NY Region CT Region Eastern NY Region Eastern PA EMARI Region (Eastern MA and RI) Genesee Valley Region Maine Region NH Region NJ Region Northern VT Region Southern NY Region Southern VT Region Western Appalachian Region (Western PA, MD, and parts of WV Western MA Region Western NY Region.The Eastern Division of the Ski Patrol provides training and support services to the individual patrols who provide the on the snow services we provide to the general public at individual snowsports areas. The majority of services are provided by volunteers.
