Activity 2

Campus residence program - the second largest program now has nine residential units on campus compared to six in prior years. It has a 2012-13 budget of $10.9 million and will become the largest program. The maximum student capacity has been increased to 72 students with the additional three residential units serving children with autism. The project added over 15,000 square feet of facility and 75 new positions . Major infrastructure work was included in the expansion project funded by the office of children and family services (ocfs) which provides a daily maintenance rate that is reconciled on a two year actual expenditure cycle. Staffing requirements are approximately 25 employees per residence with 24 hours of service.

Activity 3

Campus school program - the third largest program, the campus school provides educational services to the maximum of 100 students with 72 residential students and 28 day students from the local school districts. The budget for 2012-13 is $6.9 million and provides behavior, physical and speech therapy. Funding is provided through the new york state education department and provides a summer and regular school year program. A two year reconciled reimbursement rate is established by nysed and is billed to the home school districts on a monthly basis. The completed facility expansion project added approximately 20,000 square footage of classroom, cafeteria and gymnasium space and has increased the required fte staff by 25 positions. Daily services include registered and licensed nursing staff services.
