Officers, trustees, and key employees are required to complete a questionnaire regarding potential conflicts of interest on an annual basis. The questionnaires are reviewed by the Associate VP for Finance. If required, additional notification and action is taken.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

The process for determining compensation for the President and Senior Officers of the College (including the Vice Presidents of Admin & Finance, LITS, Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Advancement, Student Life as well as the Chief Investment Officer and Chief of Staff) meets the requirements of the rebuttable presumption provisions under Treas. Reg. 53.4958-6. An annual review of comparability data from a national survey and a survey of 25 comparable schools, as well as a review of the Form 990 of other organizations are used to inform decisions. This information is reviewed by the Executive Compensation subcommittee of the Board and then a recommendation made to the full Board for approval. The subcommittee documents its decisions regarding compensation. Trustees are independent of management and free of any conflicts that would influence their judgement.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

Governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements are posted to the College website at www.hamilton.edu.

While the ultimate purpose of the Museum is to increase the educational scope and opportunity for appreciation of the fine arts by Hamilton's students, it also seeks to enrich campus cultural life in general, as well as contribute to the cultural enrichment of the surrounding community. The collection includes more than 4,000 works of art, with strengths in American prints and works on paper, British art of the 20th century, ancient vases and glass, and Native American and Pre-Columbian art.

Schedule D, Part V, Line 4

Endowment funds are used largely for scholarship, professorships and other academic programs of the College including support for library, research activities, and internship support for students.

Schedule D, Part X, Line 2

The College recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not of being sustained. Recognized income tax positions are measured at the largest amount that is greater than 50% likely of being realized. Changes in recognition or measurement are reflected in the period in which the change in judgement occurs. The College believes it has taken no significant uncertain tax positions.
