See schedule oday services - two of our day hab sites have been model programs for shift happens, a philosophy where caring relationships, praise and reinforcement, skill development, engaging activities, and personal productivity and pride are key to shaping and changing behavior to maximize a person's potential.both sites have skillfully incorporated assessments, lesson planning, positive support plans, and sign language into the daily program planning. The approach taken for each person supported is individualized and meaningful to the person. A decrease in challenging behaviors has been noted due to the fact that people are engaged, have choices, and are productive. Day hab will be moving the shift happens philosophy to the rest of its sites in the upcoming year.

Activity 3

Vocational services - sullivanarc's workshop achieved zero down time for the entire year. Additionally, the workshop, due to overwhelming demand, provided sub contract work to twenty other work centers. Sullivanarc also increased individual community placements due to the opening of a just a buck retail store. The store employs over a dozen individuals who are supported by job coaches through our supported employment program.
