“The Board of Directors reviews the 990 upon its completion by the Accountant. All changes and revisions noted by the Board are forwarded to the Accountant so that the revisions can be made. Once the revised 990 is received, management reviews it to ensure that it is in accordance with the recommended changes. The revised form 990 is then forwarded to the Board members for final review approval. Upon approval by the Board, form 990 is then filed by management after it has been duly signed by the appropriate officials of Outward Bound Center for Peacebuilding.”

“All directors and officers are required to submit a conflict of interest disclosure statement to the Board Chairman annually. These statements are reviewed by the Board Chairman.”

“The Board of Directors reviews and approves the compensation of the Executive Director and other employees annually.”

“The Organization's governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available to the public upon request. The Organization's Form 990 is available upon request and through another website (www.guidestar.org).”

“OBCP's Board of Directors is responsible for the selection of an independent accountant to be used for the annual review of OBCP's financial statements. OBCP's Executive Committee reviews a draft of the reviewed financial statements as soon as it is ready and makes changes as necessary. The changes are then forwarded to the accountant who revises the financial statements based on those changes. The revised reviewed financial statements are forwarded to the Board of Directors for review and approval. Upon approval, a signed version of the reviewed financial statements is obtained from the accountant. This process is followed consistently by OBCP.”
